There will be a mandatory meeting for all high school students who plan to participate in a fall sport, along with at least one parent or guardian. The meeting will be on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 5 p.m. in the high school gym. Completed physical forms should be turned in prior to or at the meeting so athletes can participate in the first day of practice, which will be on Monday, August 4. It is a state requirement for athletes to have a current physical form and medical insurance on file before they can participate in sports. Physical forms are available in the high school lobby or on our website on the Athletics Home Page. Information about affordable insurance is on the website's District Home Page under Announcements. Please make sure ALL information is completed on the physical form before turning it in to the high school office.
The first day of practice for high school fall sports is Mon., Aug. 4. Football - Grades 10-12 on the high school practice field (inside the track) from 6-8 a.m. Volleyball - Grades 9-12 in the high school gym from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Softball - Grades 9-12 in the city park on Field #8 from 3:30-6 p.m. Boys Soccer - Grades 9-12 in the city park from 3-5:30 p.m. Please see the Announcement below about the Athlete/Parent Mandatory Meeting and physical form information.
All 9th grade students and at least one parent or guardian should attend Freshmen Orientation on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. It will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Students will have their picture taken, vision and hearing tested, receive schedules, pay student fee, and much more. There will be detailed information mailed to students.
