I was born and raised in Perry County.  After graduating, I attended school at Murray State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  Since then I have also received a Master of Arts Degree and Specialist Degree in Education Administration. 

 

Beginning in 1986, I taught 4 years of 4th grade and then 10 years of 2nd grade.  In 2000, I became the Assistant Principal at Perryville Elementary and then became Principal in 2006. Altogether, I have served 27 years at District #32.

 

My husband Dave and I have two sons.  Both are PHS alumni and are on to bigger and better things, in part due to our excellent K-12 program here.   Our oldest is a 3rd year medical school student at Mizzou and our youngest works for Thompson Construction and is currently building a steelmill in Lousianna.   What makes me the most proud of them is the very different career paths they've taken and that they had the drive and determination to take advantage of all that the district had to offer them while they were students at PHS.

 

Working at Distict #32 is something I look forward to every day.  I have loved the jobs I've held and my favorite part of each one has been the students.  Children bring the joy you need everyday to get the job done.
