ActivInspire Basics Training Notes
(These are not the only things ActivInspire has to offer: however I find these the most frequently used in my classroom)
Dashboard will automatically appear when ActivInspire starts: if you do not want this there is a box at the bottom of the dashboard that you can uncheck. To get the dashboard to appear again: view then dashboard
Dashboard: create a new flipchart, open flipchart (does have most recently used), and configure the slate (configure then register devices and remove all (slate)/ assign (turn on slate/click fire/ type letters)
File
new flipchart: create a new flipchart (icon-flipchart with pen)
open/open recent: open a flipchart or you can find one you recently created (icon-folder with arrow up)
save/save as: save it where you will remember and is easily located (you can save to desktop, create a folder on the desktop to store flipcharts, save to a flash drive/memory stick....) (icon-disk/disk with pencil)
print (new version allows for more than one slide per page) (icon-printer)
Edit

(some things I find interesting and to keep in mind)
The resources tab will become your friend (make good use of this). When I downloaded most of my materials the site looked a little different and did not have the capabilities this new version has to offer.
*Under the resources tab you can choose your subject area, resource type, and grade. If you wish you can type in keywords to search for and then narrow those results, by using the bar found along the left hand side. If you wish to include more than one grade level you may do this by adding to the grade and selecting another level. If you choose to search vary your wording, change grade levels and modify to fit your needs or be specific to find what you are looking for.
*I hope you feel the presentation was useful but if you still have questions feel free to email or call me. If I do not have an answer I will research and find the answer. If you still do not understand/remember what ActivInspire has to offer let me know and I can meet with you personally to go over the basics again. We are all in this together: for our students.
These are resource packs that I found useful: (collections and assets, narrow by grade, and subject may bring most of these up)
this is the single most important one that I think everyone could use (and directions to download)us English
I also use Jeopardy for each test: the students love it (there are many of these, so choose something that suits you.)
There are many packs that include pages for voting (clickers) I have a few but could not tell you what would be beneficial.
Personally for Math: geometry, math collection, clocks
