Perryville is a community of approximately 8,200 people located in the southeastern part of the state, 79 miles south of St. Louis and 33 miles north of Cape Girardeau.

There are approximately 2,300 students in the school system Pre K-12. The school district is MSIP accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
