The 2021 Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals are the PHS “Chain Gang,” selected by the Alumni Association in recognition of their 35 years of volunteerism at Perryville High School. They are Bob Wichern, Ron Heuring, Steve Landholt, Brian Dreyer and David Meyer.

City Park is one-way traffic from 9-10 am. You cannot enter the park at the roundabout on East Ste. Maries. You must enter from Highway 61 to move toward the roundabout or from State Street for other areas of the park.

Order of line-up is Police Escort, Veterans Color Guard, PHS Band, PHS Grand Marshals, PHS Football Teams, PHS Cheerleaders, Community Groups & Organizations, Alumni Classes beginning with 1940s, SVHS Band, High School Court Candidates & Classes.

The parade leaves from Perryville City Park at 10 am, traveling on East Ste. Maries St. from the roundabout, traveling to Main Street then south to National Guard Drive. All parade vehicles must follow the entire parade route; PLEASE DO NOT UNLOAD RIDERS ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE.

No electioneering, political ads or political displays will be permitted in the parade. All imagery must be in good taste and conform to PHS dress code guidelines.

Local groups and businesses may enter vehicles/walkers in the parade. These entries should assemble near the tennis court parking lot, behind football and cheerleader wagons and in front of alumni classes. There is no need to register. Complete rules can be found on the District 32 website at https://5il.co/zr6b. Violation of rules will result in your vehicle/group being removed from the lineup.

Alumni class wagons and floats should look for their class year flag along the right side of the road and park as near to it as possible. High School Class floats will be judged where they are parked at the Armory from 9-10 am.

The Perryville Pirates will host the Dexter Bearcats for the annual Homecoming Football Game at Pirate Stadium with kickoff at 1 pm.

During the Halftime Show, the PHS Marching Buccaneers perform, the PHS Homecoming Queen and King are announced, and the winners of the high-school float competition are announced. Admission for the Homecoming football game is $3 for adults, and $2 for students.

The Court includes freshmen representatives Jayce Pingel and Julia Hotop; sophomore representatives Mason Cochran and Raeanna Bugg; junior representatives Drew Layton and Lilli Franklin; and senior candidates Noah Bergman and Delainy Napier,  Brandon Martin and Megan Buchheit, and Dayton Strattman and Kiara Brown.

We need every graduate to join or renew their membership to continue the work of the PHS Alumni Association. These dues fund all of the Homecoming activities the Association provides including scholarships, campus improvements and grants!  Anniversary classes, please consider purchasing a paver or bench in the Pirate Plaza Paver Garden. Visit phsalumnimo.org or see the flyer in the Homecoming Program.
