The District 32 family is mourning the loss of Assistant Transportation Director John Bohnarczyk, who died May 11 of natural causes. His visitation will be held next week (service information below). “Johnny B” joined the staff in 2014, was a member of our administrative team, and a beloved bus driver.
"John was truly a friend to everyone, and always willing to help his colleagues and community," said Superintendent Andy Comstock. "Our students enjoyed his affable manner, and we all relied on him to keep our bus fleet safely on the road each day. Our world is poorer today due to John’s passing."
He was born August 7, 1963 in Passaic, NJ to Joseph J. Bonarczyk and Nancy J. (Volosin) Bohnarczyk.
He was of the Catholic faith.
John was the Assistant Transportation Director at Perry County School District #32 and always spoke very highly of his fellow staff members.
He was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed fishing, and playing rugby while in college. John was very talented at cooking and wine making and enjoyed sharing those talents with others. John was a very friendly and outgoing person and will be missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his father, Joseph J. Bonarczyk of Wallington, NJ; two sisters, Gale Bohnarczyk of Wallington, NJ, Susan (Jerry) Cuomo of East Rutherford, NJ.
He was preceded in death by his Mother.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
