Dear Students, Parents & Guardians:
We hope this message finds you doing well during these unprecedented times!
Please be advised that we have been contacted by several students and parents regarding 4th quarter and 2nd semester grades. As stated in our April 14th correspondence, numerous classes at the Career Center are dual/college credit classes. Below is a copy of the response that we have sent to several students and their respective parents:
As stated in our April 14th email to students, parents and guardians, block (3-period) classes at the Career Center are dual/college credit classes. To answer your question, the Hold Harmless policy does not apply to Career Center block classes. We operate under different higher education requirements than our local high schools and other high schools throughout the state of Missouri. In other words, all teacher-issued assignments and work will "count" as part of your 4th quarter and 2nd semester grade. This higher education requirement holds true or the same for many of our Career Center and area high school students that are taking dual/college credit courses such as College Writing and Psychology at their respective high schools: Perryville, St. Vincent, Meadow Heights, Ste. Genevieve, Valle and Saxony Lutheran.
Once again, please reach out to your teacher and/or myself should you have questions or concerns.
Together, we will make it through these challenging and difficult times! Be safe and take care!
