  • District issues bonds for construction projects

    The Board of Education of the Perry County School District No. 32, Missouri at a regular meeting on February 12, 2020 approved the sale of $9.5 million Lease Certificates of Participation to its municipal bond underwriter, L.J. Hart & Company of St. Louis. These certificates represent the third and final financing for the construction of a primary center, replacement of a portion of the current middle school, and construction of a classroom addition, which will connect the middle school gym and cafeteria.

    Perry County School District 32 saluted its volunteer school board members for Missouri School Board Appreciation Week during the regular meeting on Feb. 12. Perryville High School Student Will Pfaff was also recognized. Will, the son of Kenny and Angie Pfaff, auditioned and made the Southeast District, All-District Jazz Band.

    During the week of February 9-15 communities across the state will honor the dedicated service of local boards of education during School Board Recognition Week, as proclaimed by Governor Mike Parson. The goal is to build awareness and understanding of the important function an elected board of education plays in communities and schools.

  • Construction to begin on PCMS storm shelter

    Beginning Monday, Jan. 20, all access to the Perry County Middle School multipurpose room/gymnasium will be through the bus parking lot. Visitors can access the bus parking lot by entering campus from Main Street on National Guard Drive, then turning left on Career Center Drive and following it to the bus lot. For home games and other events, visitors will enter the back door of the gym, which faces the bus lot. This will continue until the end of 2020.

  • PACTC invites students to tour career ed programs

    Perryville Area Career and Technology Center recently invited area 10th graders to explore career programs on the District 32 campus.

  • Lend your expertise to help young people develop interview skills

    Volunteers are needed for the March 27 Mock Interview event at PACTC on the campus of Perry County School District 32. Volunteers are asked to spend 20 minutes each with three students: 10 minutes to interview the students with 10 minutes for feedback. A rubric and interview questions will be provided, and students will present a complete portfolio. The morning session is from 9:15 to 11:15 am and the afternoon session is from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. Volunteers can attend one or both sessions.
