School nurses are always there with a bandage and a kind word when a student hurts themselves, but our professional nursing team at District 32 does so much more! Our nurses play a vital role in keeping our students and staff safe at school by assessing schools for risk and planning for emergencies. They perform screenings for vision and hearing, and partner with parents to manage chronic illnesses during the school day for many students. They educate students about physical and mental wellness, first aid, and CPR. They care for students with physical ailments, as well as students with mental and emotional trauma.
