Filing for candidacy on the Perry County District 32 Board of Education in the April 7, 2026 election opened at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 and will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Anyone wishing to file can visit the District 32 office at 519 N. Main St. during the dates and times listed below. Except for the first and last day, filing will not occur on days when the District 32 office is closed due to inclement weather. 

Tuesday, Dec. 9

8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Dec. 10-18

Weekdays, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There will be three vacancies on the board for a three-year team and one vacancy for a one-year term. To become a candidate, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen.

  • Be a resident taxpayer of  the district for at least one year prior to the election. You must live within the district — owning property within district boundaries is not sufficient.

  • Be a resident of Missouri for at least one year prior to the election.

  • Be at least 24 years old.

  • Be current on state and local taxes.

  • Not have been found guilty of or pled guilty to a felony under Missouri or federal law or committed a crime in any other state that would be considered a felony in Missouri.

  • Not be registered or required to register as a sex offender.

  • Have filed required campaign documents for all previous campaigns, if any.

  • And be otherwise eligible to hold office in accordance with Missouri law.
