We are incredibly thankful for the hard work of our maintenance staff, local snow removal crews, and everyone who helped prepare our roads, sidewalks, and buildings to ensure a safe return for students and staff.

Perry County School District 32 schools will have another snow day tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 30. There are ongoing concerns about conditions on some of our rural roads and we are also working to address temperature control issues in some campus buildings.

There will be no school and Little Pirates and Adventure Club are also canceled. Coaches will reach out to advise on any practices for tomorrow, and Saturday’s Mayor’s Cup games are scheduled to proceed as planned. Campus will be open tomorrow for any staff who are scheduled to work snow days.

Our maintenance staff has been working tirelessly to get everything ready to welcome students back, and we are hopeful that the additional time over the weekend will allow us to have all facilities fully prepared to return on Monday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges and keep the safety and comfort of our students and staff our top priority.

✨ The Parent Anchor Initiative board has been working hard behind the scenes to keep its mission going!

Yesterday, PAI delivered teaching supplies to PHS teachers and new toys for the elementary playground. ⚽🏀🏐

Thanks to Walmart Perryville and its store manager, Brad, PAI received a $1,500 grant to help fulfill teacher supply requests. With these funds, PAI was able to purchase two portable art displays, headphones and earbuds, blinds for the high school library, dry erase boards, and kitchen supplies for the FACS classroom—along with soccer balls, volleyballs, and basketballs for the elementary playground.

We are so grateful for this support and for partners who continue to invest in our students and teachers! 💚🤍
