Photos of the students who earned The Glory of Missouri Awards

Fourteen exceptional Perryville High School seniors were presented the prestigious Glory of Missouri Awards during Senior Day celebrations on May 16. This award was established to recognize students who exemplify the 14 virtues carved in the 1920s into the walls of the House of Representatives Chambers at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.

The virtues are: Knowledge, Liberty, Equality, Law, Justice, Fraternity, Education, Progress, Honor, Truth, Virtue, Temperance, Enterprise, and Charity. They are accompanied by the inscription “All the foregoing human qualities bind into one theme, the Glory of Missouri, because no people attain these virtues unless they are great.” Every Missouri representative is expected to represent the 14 virtues.
