Readers who earned the Show Me Reader and Mark Twain Awards included Himari Sugai, Teddy Hodgson, Hallie Warren, Carley Beinlein, Emery Unverferth and Chikaru Akita

The Board of Education recognized Perryville Elementary students who earned The Show Me Reader and Mark Twain Awards. To earn the Show Me Reader Award, students must read 50 Show Me Reader-nominated books and pass a reading assessment with a score of 80 or higher. These books are selected by Missouri students in grades 1-3, are written by American authors, and have strong literary value. The students who have earned the Show Me Reader Award during this school year are:

To earn the Mark Twain Award, students must read 10 Mark Twain Award-winning books. These books are selected by Missouri students in Grades 4-6, are written by American authors, and have  literary value which may enrich children’s personal lives.
