Perry County School District 32 has received its highest Annual Performance Report score in four years.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released 2025 APR data to the public on Thursday. District 32 scored 152.5 out of a possible 200 points in 2025 for an APR score of 76.2%, a significant improvement from 70.4% in 2024. It marked District 32’s highest score since DESE implemented the current version of its accountability system MSIP 6 in 2022. District  32 scored 74.8% in 2023 and 68.7% in 2022.

The MSIP 6 system awards points based on academic performance as well as completing a checklist of continuous improvement efforts.

District 32 saw notable improvement in the amount of points it was awarded for academic performance, earning 93.5 points in 2025 compared with 82.5 in 2024. District 32 showed overall growth across all student populations in English language arts (ELA), math and social studies.

At a building level, Perry County Middle School and Perryville Elementary School both showed substantial gains in their APR scores since last year. PCMS improved from 47.8% in 2024 to 73.3% in 2025 while PES went from 55.6% in 2024 to 79.5% in 2025. PCMS improved in all academic subjects while PES saw improvement in ELA, math and science.

“We’re proud of the growth in this year’s APR results, especially the tremendous progress at our elementary and middle schools,” said District 32 Chief Academic Officer Jane Narrow. “Our teachers’ smart use of data and focused instruction made this possible. We’re encouraged by the results and determined to keep raising the bar for every student.”
