At Wednesday's meeting of the Board of Education, the board discussed the "Stay The Course" plan, which makes masks optional for staff and students in District buildings as school starts.
By federal law, all people must be properly masked on public transportation including school buses. With this rule, the Staying The Course plan reflects the procedures in place during the 2021 Summer Session.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations are not required for staff or students. District 32 staff will not inquire about an individual's COVID-19 vaccination status. Teachers and other staff are not required to share vaccination status with parents or students.
The board will hear an update at the September meeting about the impact of COVID-19 on attendance and staffing.
